A 1960 Olds Remembered...

From time to time, I get an e-mail from someone who had a 1960 Oldsmobile that was a part of their life, and it always makes me smile when I do. Cars are such an ingrained part of American life, often times they're as much a part of the family as just a mode of transportation. Some of my own earliest memories are of my parents 1968 Volkswagon bug (complete with '60s style daisy decals), which was the first car they ever bought new. To this day I still don't know how they drove a family of four around in a car that small. I got an e-mail a while back about a '60 Olds that was similar, and I'd like to share it.

When I was a kid, my Dad had a 1960 Olds 98; he loved that car, and I have such great memories of it.  I've always been partial to Oldsmobiles, since Dad always drove a 98.   I've been keeping my eyes open for a nice turquoise 98 ever since.  In the meantime, I enjoy your website so much and I wanted to share this photo of the car.. the only one I think our family has.  The lady in the photo is my Aunt with her newborn son (my cousin)
